Somnians | Audiotrope Studio Session

One of the best new bands on the UK music scene at the moment, the Somnians bring you a session that will literally blow your mind.  These guys are not to be missed or overlooked.  They are a must live band, and are definitely ones to watch.

Already grabbing the attention of BBC Introducing South and BBC Radio 6, having their intelligent song writing and harmonious distortion pedal heaven laden pysch – rock blasted over the digital airwaves, we can’t tell you enough about how kick- ass – grunge rock the Somnians really are!

The Hastings based band refer to themselves as “space grunge” – I highbred genre, a genre of their own and rightly so. Think the Beatles meets Fugazi and that gives you some idea. The harmonies, the riffs, the crazy instrumentals, the base lines, the arrangements, the tempo changes, the production, the way these guys vibe off each other  – they have so much fun and they know their instruments.

This description however, can only give you a hint of what to expect. And it’s not just about the sound they make. The energy during a LIVE Somnians performance is intoxicating. Hypnotic. Addictive – you become completely absorbed, carried away, then hit by the shockwave of what is their raw talent and energy. These guys are going places!
