Warrior Squares is an improvised audio-visual collective, operational since 2009. The core members are James Weaver, Paul Gardner, Nick Weekes and Geoff Leigh.
Over the years Warrior Squares have triggered canine stage invasions at what was The Rooms in St Leonards-on-Sea, performed live soundtracks to long lost silent films, delivered a speaker shredding set from inside a clifftop bunker at Fort Process festival and were part of the Damo Suzuki (CAN) group for his 2018 Hastings show.
Individual members are frequently involved in a myriad of other projects such as curating the Sonics weekends within Hastings Fat Tuesday Music Festival, solo music projects, making music videos for other experimental musicians and playing live with Japanese psych legends Acid Mother’s Temple.
For this Audiotrope live stream, Warrior Squares have collaborated and recorded a new work remotely with visuals added in response to the finished work by Nick Weekes/Versicolor Visions.
